Choosing H3
What is Hydra Pen H3?
An electric pen used with disposable cartridges that hold a skincare liquid. The cartridge brings liquid application and the treatment head together in one handheld device.
Why choose a pen with a serum container?
The liquid sits in the cartridge, so a suitable formula can be applied through the head during use. H3 gives you separate controls for motor speed, needle length and liquid flow.
What skin concerns is microneedling commonly used for?
Professional microneedling is used for concerns such as texture, fine lines, visible pores and healed scars. These general uses are not proof of a particular result from H3; the right approach depends on your skin and a qualified assessment.
Are active acne, acne marks and acne scars the same?
No. Inflamed spots should not be needled. Flat marks are changes in colour; recessed acne scars are changes in skin structure. They need different assessment and care, and no cartridge should be chosen simply because a concern is called “acne.”
Can I use H3 over active spots or irritated skin?
Do not use over inflamed or pus-filled spots, infection, open wounds or sunburn. Wait until the skin has recovered and seek advice if you are unsure.
Does the LED display provide light therapy?
The H3 display shows operating information such as speed and charging status. A display should not be interpreted as a skin-treatment light.
Does this H3 include EMS, RF or digital depth buttons?
This listing describes the H3 with a mechanical depth ring, a speed button and a cartridge flow ring. EMS, RF treatment and button-controlled digital depth are not included in the features offered here.
Is H3 a substitute for a professional scar or hair-loss treatment?
No. Recessed scars, stretch marks and scalp concerns require a separate assessment. We do not promise scar removal or hair regrowth from this device or a particular pin count.
Cartridges & selection
Which additional cartridge types can I choose?
The current options are 12-pin, 24-pin, 36-pin, Nano Round and Nano Square. Each bundle adds 10 cartridges of the single type you select.
When should I compare 12-pin?
Start by comparing it for focused facial zones with local texture or fine-line concerns. It is positioned for small-area work; this is a selection reference, not proof that fewer pins treat scars better.
How do 24-pin and 36-pin differ for selection?
24-pin is an alternative layout for facial rejuvenation plans. 36-pin is commonly positioned for broader facial coverage and overall texture, tone and pore appearance. Their goals overlap; neither pin count establishes depth, comfort or superior results.
When should I choose Nano?
Compare Nano when your goal is surface skincare, serum application and a hydrated-looking glow. It does not replace a numbered microneedling cartridge for a professionally assessed scar plan.
Is Nano Round better than Nano Square?
They have different tip shapes but overlapping surface-care goals. We have not established that one shape gives better hydration or treats a distinct skin concern. Choose the format that matches your routine.
Does a higher pin count mean deeper or stronger treatment?
No. Pin count describes the head layout. Treatment depth is adjusted separately, and suitability also depends on the area, skin condition, technique and selected cartridge.
Which replacement cartridges fit H3?
Use cartridges explicitly labelled compatible with Hydra Pen H3. The EIB replacement listing is labelled H3/H5. Do not assume H6, M-series or A-series cartridges will fit because they share a brand name.
Can I reuse, share or refill a used cartridge for another session?
No. Cartridges are single-use. Use a new cartridge for each session and each person; do not save leftover liquid or a used head for later.
What if the cartridge pack is open, damaged or out of date?
Do not use it. Keep the packaging and contact elleinbeauty with your order details and a clear photo. Check any expiry and storage instructions on the individual pack.
Your bundle & order
What will I receive?
A standard original-box Hydra Pen H3 device kit, plus 10 additional cartridges of your selected type. The device kit includes charging accessories, instructions and its standard original-box accessories.
Are the 10 additional cartridges a mixed selection?
No. A choice such as “H3+10pcs 24pin” means 10 additional 24-pin cartridges. It is not a mix of the five cartridge types.
Does the bundle contain serum?
No. Serum is not included. Choose a suitable formula separately after confirming its suitability for the intended procedure.
Which plug options are listed?
US, EU, UK, AU and KR plugs are currently listed. Select the plug for your destination and check the supplied adapter label against your local power supply.
Can I buy more cartridges later?
Yes. Use the EIB H3/H5 replacement-cartridge listing linked above. Confirm that H3 is explicitly named and review the pack quantity and type before ordering.
What if something is missing or the pen arrives damaged?
Keep the box and all contents. Contact elleinbeauty through the store contact page with your order number, photos and a short description before using the device.
What shipping, return and warranty terms apply?
Use the current terms shown by elleinbeauty for your order and destination. Manufacturer manuals and other sellers’ policies do not automatically set the terms of your EIB purchase. Contact us if you need clarification before ordering.
Setup, controls & care
Where is the serum stored?
In the removable cartridge body at the treatment end. The H3 cartridge is shown with a 3 ml chamber; the pen body is not a refillable liquid tank.
How do I prepare the cartridge?
Read the supplied H3 instructions, check a fresh cartridge, fill its chamber in the orientation shown, reassemble it and secure it with the retaining ring. Keep the pen upright to help prevent liquid flowing back into the device.
How do the three flow settings work?
Flow is adjusted at the cartridge, separately from speed and depth. The manual uses the protective cover to turn the regulating ring: lower flow for a thinner liquid, higher for a more viscous compatible liquid. Check delivery before contact; do not force a blocked head.
Can I put any skincare serum into the chamber?
No. Ordinary cosmetics are not automatically suitable for use with needling. Confirm that the formula, hygiene and intended application are appropriate with a qualified practitioner. Do not use oils, thick products or irritating actives simply because they fit in the chamber.
How are speed and needle length adjusted?
The power/speed button cycles through six motor speeds. The mechanical scale ring adjusts needle length; the marked range is 0–1.0 mm. Flow is set at the cartridge. These are three different adjustments.
Which depth, speed and frequency should I use?
There is no single setting or schedule for everyone. Have a qualified practitioner assess the area, skin and goal, then follow the supplied H3 instructions and your individual plan. The maximum marked depth is not a recommendation.
Can it work without a cable?
Yes. H3 has a built-in rechargeable battery for cordless operation. Use the supplied charging accessories, check the indicator and disconnect the charger before treatment.
What do the charging indicators mean?
The manual shows a rotating indicator during charging and “F” when charging is complete. A flashing speed display can indicate low battery. Consult the supplied manual for your unit’s display sequence.
What should I do if liquid does not flow or leaks?
Stop and switch the device off. Check assembly, the regulating ring and formula suitability against the instructions. Do not compensate by pressing harder, use a damaged cartridge or allow liquid into the pen body. Contact us if the issue continues.
How should I clean and store the pen?
Switch off and disconnect power, remove the used cartridge and wipe the device exterior as instructed. Keep liquid out of the pen body and charging port. Store clean and dry, away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight.
How should I dispose of a used cartridge?
Keep it away from others and follow local sharps-disposal requirements for needle cartridges. Never leave exposed needles loose where someone could be injured.
Who should get medical advice before considering use?
Ask a clinician first if you have impaired healing, a history of keloids, immune problems, a bleeding condition or relevant medication use, including isotretinoin. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and existing skin conditions also require individual advice.
What should I expect afterwards?
Redness, tenderness and temporary irritation may occur; recovery varies. Follow the aftercare plan, use gentle care and protect skin from the sun. Seek medical care for worsening pain, spreading redness, pus or other signs of infection.
Authenticity & support
Is this a genuine Hydra Pen H3?
elleinbeauty sells genuine devices. The machine’s packaging includes the security label used with the official verification system. We do not claim that an individual device has already been verified for you.
How do I verify my machine?
Carefully reveal the code on the machine packaging and enter it at drpen.com/verify. Check the address before submitting. Where supported, the security-label QR code can also open the verification process.
Why can a repeated verification be limited?
The official instructions currently allow up to three valid verifications, with 24 hours between successful checks. Follow the current website instructions and keep a record of the result rather than repeatedly submitting the code.
What if my code is invalid or the result is unexpected?
Check for typing errors and confirm the official website address. Keep the packaging, label, order details and a screenshot of the result, then contact elleinbeauty for help. Avoid posting the full code publicly.
Do additional cartridges have their own verification codes?
We do not promise independent online security codes for replacement cartridges. The verification guidance on this page applies to the machine. A cartridge without its own code is not, by itself, evidence that it is not genuine.
